This small box was built from a combination of 1/2" walnut and hard maple and features a sliding top and double-double box joints at the corners.  It has a felt bottom and the top is made from  ivory-colored walnut sapwood.  The dimensions of the box are ~9" long, 5" wide, and 2.75" tall, so it will accommodate paint brushes up to 9" long.
